This course is delivered as a 1-day hands-on, face-to-face session. Participants will learn how to:
- Describe Word’s screen layout and navigate the screen easily.
- Make it easier to find and use Word’s buttons and functions.
- Set up a document (page, margins, etc).
- Type simple text.
- Save and open documents.
- Navigate around the document and select text using shortcuts.
- Carry out simple text editing tasks.
- Look at different views of the page.
- Cut, copy, paste text and drag text.
- Apply paragraph and text formatting to improve presentation.
- Use Undo and Redo.
- Use spell-checks and AutoCorrect.
- Print and output documents to PDF.

This was my first live online training, I was skeptical in the lead up however have enjoyed it as there were no distractions from other participants. Being able to watch the process while it was being explained I think is good, as often I get lost in trying to do what is required and miss some of the instructions!
This was very helpful and informative, and really enjoyed it.
Mastery! (Word - Intermediate)
Now I will be able to use word more effective as a word processor especially with dot points, margins and the spacing of documents and tables. I always had trouble with dot points and extra information that I add in, but now I will have more control of that. Thank you for a great presentation and the cheat sheets that I will keep nearby.
