How Do I Find Out My Version?

April 28th, 2021

When you come along to one of our training courses, it’s obviously important that you use the same version as you use at work.

It’s not that clear how to find out what version you have, but here are some steps – these steps relate to Microsoft Office on a Windows PC:

(Click any screenshot below to see a better version)

  1. Start the program who’s version you want to find out – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  2. Click the File tab in the top left then click either Account or Help depending on what’s there.
  3. Either (1) or (2) below will appear:
    Excel2010Version  Excel2016Version
  4. If (1) appears, then your version is displayed.
  5. If (2) appears, click the About option at (B) and you’ll see something like this:
    ExcelFullVersion

And you’re done! It’s obviously important to know what version you have, so you know what features you might have or don’t have.
